Delete account

Gathery

This page explains how to delete your account in the Gathery app and which data is deleted. Guests who only take photos with the camera in the browser have no account with personal data.

In the app

1. Open the Gathery app and sign in.
2. Tap the gear at the top right to open the settings.
3. Tap “Delete account” and confirm with your password or your Google account.

Your account and your data are deleted right away and you are signed out.

Without the app

Send an email to support@gathery.de with the subject “Delete account”, from the email address you created your account with. We delete the account with all data listed below within one month and confirm the deletion by email. You can also write to us through the contact form.

What is deleted

• your login account with email address,
• your profile (first and last name, username, language),
• your events with all photos, previews and invitation links,
• your task sets,
• your feed entries and settings.

What remains

• Photos you reported: the copy and the report are kept until we have reviewed them, then we delete them.
• Crash reports of the app (Firebase Crashlytics), if you agreed to them, with technical data of your device: Firebase deletes them after 90 days.
• Messages you sent us by email or through the contact form: in our mailbox until your request is resolved; messages from the contact form at Resend for 30 days.
• Photos you saved to your device's photo gallery: they are outside Gathery and we do not delete them.
